Francois
Reynders, one of our Colts' parents, will be running in the London
Marathon later this year to raise funds for the club's training
facilities and clubhouse etc. He has posted this message and set up the
club Just Giving page to collect any funds raised. If you are a UK
taxpayer you can Gift Aid your donation which will mean the government
will add 25% to your donation.
Afternoon everyone
I
will be participating in the Virgin London Marathon this year and
kindly invite you to share in this great opportunity to raise funds for
Chingford Cricket Club.
The Colts teams have grown in recent years and have developed great friendships along with all the parents as well.
Cricket
has created a strong feeling of belonging amongst the group. Cricket
practice with the coaches teaches our children discipline, respect,
sportsmanship and the pure fun of the sport.
Sport and the
facilities on offer provide an escape and a safe place for kids to
explore their talents, embrace their skills and grow in friendships.
The
funds raised will be used to make much-needed improvements to the
club's existing facilities and raise awareness in the local community
through free cricket 'Taster' sessions for school and regular events.
Six years ago I said ‘never again’; however here I am and ready to hit the road.
