Generally team scores were beginning to increase, reflected in a new Club record score of 273 on August Bank Holiday Monday v South Woodford with J Fudge (72) and Willie Longden (53) both starring with half-centuries for Chingford.
Willie Longden was the leading run scorer with 163, he made a further half–century with 69 v Buckhurst Hill. There was one other score over 50, F. Pook making 60 v Wanstead
With the ball F De La Cour led the way with 8 wickets, including 6 v Wanstead. G.Traveller also picked up 5 in the 2nd XI match with Old Grosvenors.
