We have received the sad news of the passing of Roger Cockrell.
One of the Club's oldest members, Roger played 175 games for Chingford between 1957 and 1971 inclusive, scoring 2134 runs and taking 143 wickets for the Club.
In his latter years Roger was often seen at the Club on a Sunday afternoon with his much loved dog Maya, taking in some cricket and enjoying a quiet pint in the Clubhouse.
Details of the funeral will be placed here when known.
