Match report Chingford continued their impressive form in the league as they thrashed Orsett by 8 wickets with 15 overs to spare. Orsettwere asked to bat first and achieved a steady start as Paul Shaw (41) and Darren Polyblank (36) put on 59 for the first wicket in 22 overs against some tight bowling from Nick Shawyer, Kerry Marriott, and Niraj Odedra. The introduction of Angelo Bass turned the tables dramatically as he devastated the Orsett batting by taking 7 wickets for 61 in his 18 over spell assisted by Shaun McMurray with 2 for 45. Reaching 175 for 9 after 52 overs Orsett felt obliged to declare but this modest total was never going to be enough given Chingfords strong batting line up. James Hill (24) and Ben MacGregor put on 55 for the first wicket in just 13 overs the latter continuing on for a polished 52. Niraj Odedra (50n.o) and Nick Shawyer (26 n.o) then polished off the remaining 80 runs in an unbroken partnership which lasted 14 overs.
