Match report On a two paced track Chingford were in a great position on 130-1 with an excellent partnership from Cambers (71) and Harty (54) who both played great innings. Once they were dismissed Chingford threw away a great position, as of the later batsmen only Steve Tall and Peter Coyte with 12 apiece made double figures and we had to settle for 179 all out.

Ardleigh Green’s number 5 was the mainstay of their innings and we never looked like getting him out as he hit am impressive 70 to win the game with the help of secret weapon Mr Extras with 42. Facing defeat we received no help from the weather either as dark cloud after dark cloud circled round the ground but the downpour was deposited on Brentwood‘s ground 5 minutes up the road !. Mike Blake with 2 together with Mr Big Hair and Steve Tall (1 each) took wickets but we never looked like winning and they made it home with around 5 overs to spare.
