Chingford Cricket Club Sat 4th v Harold Wood on Sat 27 Aug 2005 at 1300
Chingford Cricket Club Lost 24 runs

Match report A game that seesawed one way then the other saw Harold Wood fight back to win by 24 runs.

At 101-5 Chingford looked to be going well, but the loss of key men Mark Campbell and Steve Hart proved vital as Wood tied Chingford's tail down and we ended 129 all out. We had six batsmen in double figures, but significantly none made more than 24.

Earlier Wood had themselvers collapsed from 71 without loss to 107-8. But they made it to 153 with a good innings from their nos 7 and 10. Amongst the wickets for Chingford were Mike Blake with 5, Nasser Rashid with 4 and Alfie with 1.

Despite our defeat, an enjoyable game played in a good spirit and once again a pleasure to play against Harold Wood who were nice opponents for he second time this year.
