Match report McMurray was back in place of the absent Meade. Hill was caught off the ceiling and McMurray followed soon after. However, Shawyer, supported by MacGregor, put Chingford in a good position and he duly reached his retirement score. This enabled the lower order to score quickly which Peters and Marriott did but both got out in the process. This brought Shawyer back but as he was immediatly dismissed, only as MacGregor's runningparnter. MacGregor made sure he used up the overs to take Chingford to a respectable total.
Asians had one good opener who got to his 25 quickly. Without him, the rest of the batting looked ordinary, particularly against McMurray. However, this only brought their opener back in early and Asians were slightly ahead of the asking rate. The key moment came when the opener hit a ball into the ceiling, but Shawyer back at Mid on, reached above his head to take the catch one handed. Game over.
