Match report This was the first match of the season and found the U13 side playing in Division 2 having competed in Division 3 last year.

Chingford skipper Beth MacGregor won the toss and put Buckhurst Hill into bat. By the half way point of their innings Buckhurst Hill had lost 5 wickets and Chingford were clearly on top, a position that continued to the end despite the last Buckhurst Hill batsman more than doubling the score to 55 and lasting until the 12th over. All the bowlers performed well, with Alex Gordon and Beth MacGregor causing the early loss of wickets and the pressure maintained by Rob O'Leary, Jack Hodges, Andrew MacGregor and Beauden French-Boyce. Excellent support was given by all the fielders evidenced by three run-outs. Mention must also go to Beauden French-Boyce for a tidy performance behind the stumps.

In reply Beth and Andrew MacGregor put Chingford well on the way to victory with their opening stand before Beth was caught for a quick 19. Andrew (20 not out) was then joined by Beauden French-Boyce (13 not out) and the two of them closed the win out in only the fifth over.

An extremely comprehensive win by the team in their first outing in the higher division.
