Match report Chingford followers gathered at Waltham Abbey on Sunday for the weekend's big pivotal Premiership clash with Fives

Fives made a solid if unspectacular start with 46 on the board without loss after 6 overs despite a tidy spell of 0-9 from Thorpe's allotted 3 overs.The introduction of Rhone saw an immediate wicket but it always looked like Fives were going to post a healthy score and in the end they reached 109-3

Chingford never got going at the start losing Joslin for 6 to a direct hit . With Campbell out for 3 and Rhone caught behind (off a ball that pitched off the side of the mat ) Chingford were in dire straits. Enter the big gun Tarrant, who treated us to the usual exhibition of wall hitting but no running before he was caught an bowled one handed by a bowler who had taken his glasses off to bowl . With Thorpe out for 3 it was left to Blake to bat solo for an unbeaten 22 and prevent the Fives fielders from an early trip to the bar. Chingford ended on 62-5
