Match report The significant clash of the weekend took place at the WACA where Chingford clashed with Epping A.

The Premiership team news was that Hales replaced Joslin for his second start in the big time this season

Epping took first knock and were soon under pressure as Hales took a wicket in each of his three overs to pick up a handy 3-9. At the other end Thorpe contributed a rare Premiership maiden. At the 5 over point Rhone entered the attack with a catch by Peter "The cat" Tarrant who then followed up his heroics with a direct hit run out to leave Epping 21-5. Their last man hit a few lusty blows but his innings came to an end with another direct hit, this time from Thorpe to leave Epping 46 all out.

In the half time interval I reminded Tarrant he only needed to hit the wall 47 times to secure victory for us. |Chingford started ok but a mix up saw Campbell run out for 2 and Hales shortly followed for 5 caught off the wall. Enter "The cat" who was more like a dead ant as he gave a spinner the charge fell flat on his back and despite his efforts to get his hand back in was stumped for 5 and we were 18-3. Luckily our batting isn't very lightweight and Rhone with a well struck 21 not out combined with a back in form Thorpe (7no) meant that Chingford's average topping Captain was not required on this occasion and a 12 point Premiership win was in the bag on 47-3
