Match report A comfortable first victory of the season after an excellent bowling and fielding display and some sensible batting from our openers.

Alfie won the toss again and elected to bowl first. Sam and Alfie opened, and after a nervous couple of wides from Sam, he settled into a rhythm and bowled tidily, keeping the runs down while Alfie's leg breaks ripped through Three Caps, his two wickets including a smart stumping by Anthony. Charlie and Anthony then repeated the opening bowlers' performance - Charlie tidy, and Anthony picking up two wickets, including, from a rebound off the side wall, a stupendous one-handed diving catch from Alfie behind the stumps. Jay and William excelled in the field, contributing to a near faultless fielding performance by the whole team.

Alfie and Anthony opened the batting and, chasing a small total, settled down with a few singles before taking the game to Three Caps, each hitting a six on the way, and both ending up retiring on 25. Charlie and Sam looked confident coming in next, before Sam hit the winning run. Jay and Will, who both looked promising in the first match, will get their chance before the season is much older.

A tie and a win in their first two matches keep the Under 15's competitive in what will be an interesting season.
