Match report The Cs bowling attack was boosted by the return of Mike Lyon and the first appearance of Luke O'Reilly. Alfie Taylor came up from the Ds due to general absenteism.
Batting first, a solid start did not materialise as Rashid was bowled and Campbell was run out in a mix up with Lyon. Lyon and O'Reilly started to construct a recovery, but both fell. Thorne joined Taylor but became another victim of a run out mix up. Taylor was then left to bat out the overs, a task he nearly achieved. A total of 72 was competitive but still a disappointment.
Early pressure was put on the batsman by Chingford's bowlers and wickets started to fall. Stort were behind the clock all the way up to the begining of the 10th over when Nasser had one of his nightmare overs. This was particularly galling as the last two batters were at the crease. With the pressure off the batsmen, Lyon's last over could not drag it back and Stort won with 3 balls to spare.
