Match report Andy Perrin, niceley warmed up from his B team bowling stint, opened the bowling in place of the now ineligible Luke O'Reilly. Alfie Taylor's inclusion in place of Nick Shawyer and Mark Campbell's return for the stand in skipper, Richard Alston, meant that just three players remained from the previous week's victorious side.
AP got the Cs early breakthroughs with three quick wickets and Ford Sports never recovered. All the other bowlers gave good support and Ford sports were bowled out in less than 11 overs.
There were a few nervous moments as Chingford lost 3 wickets but they were already half ay towards the winning target. Thorne joined Shawyer and the Cs had the same two at the wicket who had steered them to victory the previous week. Both looked comfortable as they knocked off the winning runs with more than an over to spare.
This was the second Cs win and the fifth Chingford win in a fortnight. AP, with no A team game to rush off to, completed a mornings haul of 5 wickets.
The Cs have one match remaining, on 18th March against bottom of the table Woodford Green. By then, they will know if victory in that match will ensure division 2 cricket next season.
