Chingford Cricket Club Indoor Sat D v SOUTH LOUGHTON C on Sat 29 Oct 2005 at 9.45
Chingford Cricket Club Won 2 wickets

Match report Richard Alston captained the D VI once again, and won the toss again, two-in-a-row, and for the second time in a row, elected to field. With a very hungover David Joslin from his birthday drinking antics, opened the bowling, and amazing produced a wonderful line and length moving both ways, before his front foot was going over the crease and Umpire Goult no-balling him, funny enough 6 was scored off the first over, being all extras, 4 no-balls, 1 wide and a leg bye. Paul Hart was producing a great line and length at the other end before being hit for six over his head. South Loughton C VI were looking very steady with their opening pair, before their number 1 was run out at the beginning off the fifth over off David Joslin's bowling. Paul Hart clean bowled their number 3 with the score on 41 before reaching the halfway point. Daniel Carver came on and took two wickets in his opening over with only 3 runs scored off it. With Shakeel Kadri keeping a very tight line and lenght at the other end, Daniel Carver claimed his third wicket in his last over and South Loughton C progressed to 80 for 5 off their 12 overs.

Chingford's innings got off to a very slow start considering who was at the crease, Richard Alston and Myles Joyce. With both of them going cheaply along with Daniel Carver, Chingford were out of left hander and Shakeel Kadri and David Joslin were left to try and see Chingford to victory, a blistering 28 from David Joslin including a 6 for his first shot and some very good running between the wickets with Shakeel Kadri, enable David Joslin to retire and have a bit of a breather. Shakeel Kadri and Paul HArt decided to go try and accelerate the run rate off South Loughton C's captain 's bowling with 35 runs off 4 ivers. They got 11 off his first and on his second, they were two short away from victory when Shakeel Kadri was bowled going for the glory shot. This was the return for David Joslin who hit the winning runs with the next ball with a very hard off drive that could not be stopped by the bowler on two fielders going for 4.

The D Team won their second game to keep their 100% winning record. Their opponents, South Loughton C, lost their second match in two. Chingford remain at the top of the table, level with Ford Sports B who beat Buckhurst Hill.
