Match report The final was played out with the Sharks batting first. Despite picking up the early wicket of Meade, the Sharks scored at a healthy rate. With Paul Shawyer and Lyon retiring, Peter Shawyer exerted some control with the ball as Nick Shawyer and Jabbari struggled. Then disaster struck - Jabarri and Peek were run out. However, this was a disaster for the Outlaws as it enabled the retirees to return. The Outlaws managed to drag it back dismissing both Paul Shawyer and Lyon. This left Nick Shawyer to bat out the overs. This he managed and then some, smashing the bowling in the last two overs to set up a respectable score.
At the half way stage it seemed as if the final was going to produce the closest finish. The Outlaws needed Odedra to get his 25. When he fell 3 runs short and O'Sullivan went soon after, the Outlaws were 3 wickets down, behind the clock with no one to come back in after the No 6. Meade was unplayable and by the time Thorne joined Peters, the contest was effectively over. Thorne's innings of 27, including a number of drives for 4, was in vain.
