Match report Old Vics plodded along at little more than 4 an over, making a just about respectable score, thanks in the main to Amjad, with 60 not out and some generous bowling later on to set up a declaration.
Chingford made a mess of the reply and were looking desperate at 38-4. Joyce and Lawrence were together for just 30 minutes. This was the biggest partnership and that only raised the score by 46 runs. With 20 overs left to bat, Chingford required 129 to win with 5 wickets in hand and Lawrence still at the crease. Stephen Thorne's 15 minute innings was made up from just two scoring strokes, one of those, a six. Lawrence was 8th man out with Chingford still 85 runs short and 10 overs left to bat. Less than 2 overs later it was all over.
