Match report A thrilling match which saw Chingford score two runs off the final ball to tie the game. Chingford won the toss and put Loughton in to bat. Tight early bowling from Williams Armstrong-Fox and Daniel Lawrence put Loughton on the back foot. This was followed by further tight bowling from Andrew MacGregor and Tom Goodland. Although Loughton never threatened to score a big total they nevertheless managed to post a competitive score. Daniel Lawrence finished with the two wickets (one bowled, one caught and bowled).

In reply a good opening partnership by Andrew MacGregor and Ben Gordon put Chingford in a good position. However after Ben was out for 4 and Andrew retired on 28 the Loughton bowlers bowled straight and made it difficult for the later batsmen to score freely. After a couple of maiden overs the run rate climbed and finally Chingford needed 9 to win off the last over. Off the first ball of the over Daniel Lawrence returned a catch to the bowler and was out for 12. The second ball saw Andrew Kelly bowled for 0. 9 needed off 4 balls. Tom Goodland (5 not out) and William Armstrong-Fox (6 not out) kept their nerve and managed to score 8 runs off the last four balls thus ensuring a tie which was a fair result between 2 evenly matched teams.
