West Essex v Chingford Cricket Club Sat 4th on Sat 13 May 2006 at 1.30
Chingford Cricket Club Won 7 wickets

Match report Chingford started the game without John Woodland who was running late but instead had to rely on pieces of litter, bottles and cans in the outfield to help us keep the runs down. In the first over one such strategically placed plastic bottle saved us a boundary when the ball hit the bottle and stopped. Chingford's early bowling lacked accuracy but Tom Patmore was enjoying himself , claiming a wicket, a run out and an excellent catch to reduce West Essex to 40-3. West Essex recovered to 105-4 but the introduction of Carey Harborne (5-11) to the attack saw the end of the revival as he ran through the lower half of the order , assisted by two more good catches from Patmore.

Chasing a modest total of 129, Chingford found themselves up against a good bowling attack and at 40-3 were in some difficulty . Opener Roy of the Rivers, revelling in the surroundings, carried his bat for a determined but crucial 36 not out and at the other end John Woodland played well smashing two sixes in his unbeaten 36 to steer us home on 131-3
