Match report Chingford batted first and on a slow pitch with a very long boundary to one side found it difficult to score quickly at first. Eliot went early trying to force the score. Beth and Aiden were pateint, but managed to find the fielders with many of their best shots. Eventually Beth was able to take adavtnage of one loose over, scoring sixteen to kick start things. After she retired on 27 Aiden, Alex, Rob and Thomas all chipped in to finally post a respectable total of 94.Aiden and Nihal then produced an accurate opening spell, yielding only 3 runs in the first four overs. The rest of the bowlers continued in the same vein, gradually squeezing the run rate and applying severe pressure to the batting side. They were aided by some clever field placing which denied many opportuniteis for boundaries . With he pressure growing Anil produced a fine couple of pacy overs to claim three wickets, whilst James, Eliot and Rob also took adavtage to claim a wicket each.In the end a disciplined bowlign and fielding performace led to a comfortable win by the margin of 31 runs.
