Match report In a close, competitive encounter, Chingford U15 recorded an impressive victory against Hawks.

Facing good bowling, Chingford eventually broke free to record 102 well earned runs. Jay Edmonds top scoring with 41 not out was well backed by Beth McGregor 11 and Aiden Woodcock 18. A cavalier innings from Beauden French-Boyce saw him record 13 from only 4 balls. Andrew McGregor (a late replacement for the injured Will Rapley) batted sensibly with Jay at the end of the innings.

Tight, accurate bowling was needed to defend Chingford's total - and the bowlers duly obliged with a terrific all round performance.

Aiden's fast, aggressive pace was too much for Hawks - taking 3 wickets for very few runs conceded. Jack Hodges also bowled a tight line taking one wicket in the process. Naturally the McGregor's were involved with Beth and Andrew both taking a wicket each. Crowning a great all round performance, Andrew also took 2 catches.

A late flourish enabled Hawks to get to 90 all out.

So a well deserved win for the U15's.
