Match report The final match in 2006 was against last years league winners St Aubyn’s which brought back memories of Chingford’s fine win against them last indoor season.

With the return of Andrew MacGregor and Alfie Leachman to the side there were high hopes that last year’s achievement could be repeated.

Captain for the day Andrew MacGregor won the toss and decided to bat first. The early loss of Daniel Lawrence, bowled when he had reached 3, stunted the scoring progress and after 4 overs the Chingford total was only 18. However, fine batting performances by Andrew Macgregor (27) and Alfie Leachman (25) supported by Ben Gorden (13) took the Chingford total to a very good 87 for 4 wickets.

The St Aubyn’s innings started at speed and by the fourth over they already had 39 runs on the board. However, after their opening batsman was caught by Ben Gordon off Andrew’s bowling and their number three retired, the scoring rate dropped significantly but this could not deny them victory as they reached the Chingford total in the last but one over. Best bowling Andrew MacGregor 3-0-19-1.
