Match report Chingford won the toss and elected to field. Good disciplined bowling by all the bowlers aided by four run-outs (2 by Ben Gordon, 1 by Andrew MacGregor and 1 by Beth MacGregor) kept West Essex to a reasonable total although without the efforts of one of their batsmen they would probably have totalled no more than 60.

In reply Andrew MacGregor was run-out in the first over after a mix-up with his sister but then Alex Gordon (29 ret) came in to join Beth MacGregor (26*) and the two of them put on the partnership that effectively won the match. After both retired Elliot Saggers was run-out but William Armstrong-Fox and Ben Gordon batted sensibly for a couple of overs to steer Chingford to within sight of victory. At the start of the last over 2 were required with four wickets in hand. The first ball went for one run but also a run-out following another mix-up in the running. Beth returned to hit the winning run and seal a good start for the team in the top division.
