Match report Rhone got the side off to a quick start, hitting Shawyer for a six in his second over. Shawyer got his revenge when he bowled Rhone 3 balls later. Peters and Shawyer steadied the innings and after 4 overs the score was 30-1. With the help of some wides from Thorne, the halfway point was reached on 63-1. Acceleration was now required but Peters fell in the 11th over just short of retirement. After 12 overs, the score was 95-2. However four factores were in the giants favour; Shawyer was close to retirement, wickets were in hand, Taylor was at the crease and there were three overs of power play to take advantage. Fletcher in his last over dismissed P Shawyer short of his 25 and N Shawyer in his last over dismissed Jabbari. It was left to Taylor to score off Thorne and Kadri and he hit both for sixes before retiring.Thorne and Fox batted out the rest of the innings.
