Hadleigh & Thundersley v Chingford Cricket Club Sat 1st on Sat 11 Jun 2005 at 1330
Chingford Cricket Club Won 5 wickets

Match report On a wicket which proved to be a minefield Chingford won the toss and asked Hadleigh to bat. After capturing the wicket of Paveling early on the visitors laboured for 18 overs before Nick Shawyer clean bowled Lowes for 21. As the wicket deteriorated even Devang Gandhi (36) struggled against Odedras tight bowling. The introduction of Angelo Bass was crucial as he picked up 5 wickets for 21 in just 6 overs aided by some excellent catching particularly from Ryan Harris who pouched three. The architect however was undoubtedly Niraj Odedra who took 4 for 28 from 21 overs as Hadleigh were finally bowled out for97 after 42.3 overs. The Chingford reply began badly as Ben MacGregor departed for2 but skipper Jamie Hill batted aggressively for an excellent 42 and although Chingford lost 5 wickets in reaching the total, positive batting was the keynote as victory was achieved in just 20 overs despite the efforts of Richard Revell who took 4 for46.
