Match report With the pressure off Chingford returned to winning ways as they trounced Chelmsford by 96 runs with a possible 23 overs to spare. Chingford decided to bat first and struggled to 82 for 4 from 32 overs whence Sam Kirnon entered the fray to blast an undefeated 75 to enable a declared total of 197 for 7. Chingford then opted to continue with the old ball and an all out spin attack which Chelmsford never came to grips with. Only Chris Prowting (35) batted with any poise as Ben MacGregor wheeled away for 21 overs taking 7 for 41 whilst Niraj Odedra kept things tight at the other end taking 2 for 26 off 16 overs. Shaun McMurray took the remaining wicket as Chelmsford collapsed to 101 all out.

Sam and blasts inspire Chingford victory

The home side decided to bat first and struggled to 82-4 from 32 overs before Sam Kirnon entered the fray. He blasted an undefeated 75 to take Chingford to the unlikely total of 197-7.
The hosts then opted to continue with the old ball and an all-out spin attack which Chelmsford never got to grips with. With Chris Prowting (35) the only batsman offering any sort of resistance, Ben MacGregor earned a career best total of 7-41 from 21 overs. Niraj Odedra heaped more misery on the visitors by keeping things tight to take 2-26 from 16 overs. Off-spinner Shaun McMurray took the remaining wicket as the hosts condemned Chelmsford to defeat, bowling them out for just 101.
