Chingford Cricket Club Sat 2nd v Basildon & Pitsea on Sat 30 Apr 2005 at 1330
Chingford Cricket Club Won 4 wickets

Match report On a damp Forest Side the game was played under Essex League format. Chingford won the toss and put Basildon into bat, who declared after 52 overs on 128 for 7. All the bowlers bowled well with particular credit going to Nadir Noori on his 2nd XI debut, Paul Adshead on his return to the side and Darren Ross, again taking wickets with his unique brand of leg spin. Mention should also be made of two top class catches made by Mike Lyon and Richard Alston.

In reply all the batsmen got a start, although none passed 25. In the end we won with plenty of overs to spare although losing two wickets just before reaching the target made the win less convincing than it should have been.

Man of the March = Mike Lyon
