Match report In a game that will go down in Chingford folklore as 'Murdoch's match' the honours were taken by Monroe.

After Harlow won the toss and put Chingford in to bat the innings was dominated by a brilliant 126 not out by Rob Runciman who carried his bat. With excellent support from the likes of Richard Alston, Mike Lyon and Steve Piper aided by a typical cameo from Sanjay Sharma, the Chingford skipper could afford to declare a couple of overs early.

In reply Harlow got off to a poor start with Steve Piper taking two early wickets. After this Chingford were in complete control but the latter Harlow batsmen defended well, albeit playing and missing at least 50% of the deliveries sent down by Jon Dyers. Although towards the end of the game Chingford had all fielders in close catching positions, Harlow managed to hang on for a draw.
