Match report Chingford won the toss and put Old Brentwoods in to bat. The home side started brightly but good bowling from Andy Perrin and Mike Lyon reduced the home side to 52 for 4. The off-spinners then took over with Stephen Thorne in particular proving too difficult for the later order batsmen to deal with, picking up his first 2nd team 5 wicket haul in the process. Eventually Old Brentwoods were bowled out for 139.

In reply all the Chingford batsmen made some contribution towards the successful run chase but Billy Rhone and Mike Lyon put on the decisive partnership after good early batting from Paul Shawyer. The winning runs were hit with 19 overs to spare.
