After a fast start Old Brentwoods were 59 for 1 off 11 overs but were pegged back by the combination of Richard MacGregor and Andy Perrin. Losing wickets steadily Old Brentwoods were all out of the last ball of the 52nd over with Steve Thorne mopping up the tail.

In reply Chingford's openers both fell cheaply but an unbeaten partnership of 111 between Richard Alston, who scored a majestic 96 not out, and Darren Ross (44 not out) took the home side to victory with plenty of overs to spare.
