Match was Drawn

Match report In a rain affected match (over an hour and a half was lost) Hutton won the toss and elected to bat, as this would give them their best chance of overhauling Harlow in second place. As expected Hutton played their shots and were positive in their intent but the Chingford bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Eventually Hutton declared at 167 for 9 at 5:15.

This left Chingford an hour and 35 minutes to get the runs and with instructions from the captain to bat sensibly rather than give away wickets needlessly the home side remained in control throughout ending up 144 for 3 after some late hitting from Darren Ross (47) and Paul Shawyer (64 not out). The draw in this game and a win for Harlow against Benfleet meant that Harlow are promoted in second place and Hutton just miss out. However the top side and Champions of the division are Chingford.

After the game the champagne flowed and later in the evening the Saffron curry house was taken over for the team end of season meal. The end of season 2nd XI trophies were also given out and recipients were:
