Chingford Cricket Club Sat 3rd v Hadleigh & Thundersley on Sat 10 May 2003 at
Chingford Cricket Club Won 3 wickets

Match report The first league game of the season took place on pitch 3 at the Met Police. Hadleigh turned up with only 9 players and most of those were kids. This was reduced to 8 players when one of their fielders went off.
Bowling first, the unlucky Fletcher was replaced by the more erratic Will Thorne who swung the ball well and picked up wickets. Hart gave Chingford control until some lusty batting helped our opponents reach a credible score.
Chingford's reply started badley until Paul Canham and Graem Peters came together. Peters, making his League and Met Police debut with the club immediately came to terms with this idiosincratic pitch to steer Chingford to victory.
