Match report Bowling first, Chingford had the services of young Nick Shawyer who made good use of the new ball enabling Chingford to get on top early on. Things fell away a bit and were only brought back into line when Shawyer returned for his second spell.
After losing 2 early wickets, responsibility fell on the shoulders of two young Chingford players as David Joslin joined Shawyer at the crease. The pair looked capable of taking Chingford to victory by themselves until Joslin got out. Peters came in and stedied things. Fortunately Chingford were ahead of the asking rate and Peters was able to play out a couple of maidens to enable Shawyer to get his maiden 100.
