Match report Goodmayes had started the season well but had fallen away badly since Christmas. Chingford were again without a specalist keeper and Thorne again did the job. Fletcher was also unavailable so Coulson and Joslin came into the side. Haigh, bowling medium pace and Coulson opened the bowling and did well to restrict the batting. Coulson picked up a wrist injury in the field which he thought would prevent him batting effectively. When he came in at No 6 to join Haigh, the match looked all but over. The two had plenty of time to score the runs and used it effectively. With the final over approaching, the match was won in a batting flourish. The previous SLA defeat had been deflating. This week's result had had been equally inflating and a great way to round off a season which saw the Bs finish mid table.
