Chingford Cricket Club Indoor Sat C v Stort on Sat 04 Dec 2004 at
Chingford Cricket Club Won 26 runs

Match report Paul Hart was unavailable so richard MacGregor captained the side. MacGregor had taken 4-5 against Stort the previous week for the Bs. By the end of the game, they were sick of the sight of him. David Joslin was also unavailable. Paul Adshead came into the side for his first game of the season as did Alfie Taylor, playing his first ever game of indoor cricket.
The batting was opened by Mark Campbell who recorded a composed 27 not out (retired) and Carey Harborne. They put on c.50 for the first wicket at the half way stage before Carey was run out. Although only scoring 9 with the bat Carey scored at least double this with his pads. After this good start the innings lost its way a bit ending on 89 with three wickets left. Richard Coulson avoided troubling the scorers. Paul Adshead in a one-off comeback appearance and half awake managed a less than fluent but nevertheless valuable 12. Richard MacGregor was 13 not out and Alfie Taylor 6 not out.
In reply Stort started steadily but never looked like seriously overhauling Chingford's total. Both Alfie Taylor and Richard MacGregor picked up 2 wickets. The bowling was supported by some excellent catching.... Carey Harborne took a magnificent one handed diving catch (truely miraculous given the number of injuries he carries) and Paul Adshead took two smart catches.
