Scorecard

Chingford Cricket Club Indoor Sat B v Hainault & Clayhall on Sat 19 Nov 2005 at 8.40
Chingford Cricket Club Lost 6 wickets

Match report Chingford won the toss and chose to bat. Richard MacGregor offered forward the theory that on a cold day the ball would be cold and lacking in bounce, making it difficult to bat. There wasn't too much evidence of the ball not bouncing, mainly because there was not too much evidence of the ball being bowled in the first place. After one over, Chingford were 6-0. It didn't get any better. The low score was down too poor batting as the bowling was very ordinary.
27 is no total to defend and their opening batters made it look very easy. The game was over in less than 30 minutes.
A side as good on paper as ours would have beaten Hainault 95 times out of 100. Sometimes days like this just happen. Nobody likes them. This side is still good enough to win promotion. If it can play to its potential, it will.
