Match report The Bs had a number of changes to their team. Billy Rhone is now unavailable for the rest of the season, Peter Shawyer is injured and Mark Campbell is back with the Cs. Matt O'Sullivan returns from the As and Mac Meade and Mike Lyon play their first B team games.
Winning the toss and bowling, Chingford got off to the perfect start, dismissing their best bat off the second ball. The batter pushed the ball into the offside and set off for a 3. The speed of bowler Meade to towards the ball detered the non-stiker and the striker had to turn to get back. Meade swooped, picked up, threw to the stiker's stumps and Peters ran up to take the ball and the bails. Lyon bowled the second and fourth over, picking up a wicket in each with some tight line and length. In the fifth over Lyon fielded the ball and seeing the striking batter slow to get back into his crease, threw the stumps down to secure the second run out. After Meade finished his spell, MacGregor came on to bowl and keep the pressure on. Joslin came on and did the same as the 5th wicket pair tried to rebuild. MacGregor finished his third over with economical figures. Runs had started to come more easily and Joslin was replaced by O'Sullivan for the 11th over. O'Sullivan got a wicket, stumped Peters, but the last batter survived Lyon's last over pushing the score up to 70.
Joslin and O'Sullivan opened the batting and got the side off to a good start which was more than the asking rate. Joslin was bowled but Chingford were already into the 20s. Meade in at 3 and O'Sullivan pushed the ball around with ease. Runs were coming easier and the victory target was reached off 7 overs.
