Chingford Cricket Club Indoor Sat B v Newham VI Form B on Sat 06 Jan 2007 at 8.45
Chingford Cricket Club Won 6 wickets

Match report This was a must win game for the Bs against fellow strugglers Newham B. Marc Fletcher, dropped from the A team, along with Peter Shawyer, bowled with control. It was the spinners who did the damage and took the wickets. Alfie Taylor demonstrating that he does not need a seam on a ball to trouble batsmen. Against the red ball, 96 was never going to be enough to pose problems for our batting. Truptesh Patel rattled off a quick 25 including 2 sixes and 2 fours. Taylor joined Shawyer and the pair moved comfortably through the gears with some good running between the wickets. When both of them retired, the game was nearly won. Fletcher, after 2 ducks in the Chingford Challenge got off the mark to cheers and William 'Tobla' Rhone, another batter out of form, drove a four to win the game.
