Match report Chingford won the toss and put St.Albans in to bat. Good opening bowling by Andy Perrin and Jon Palmer followed by Andy Chipchase and Mike Lyon put Chingford on top as the home team lost their first five wickets for 51 runs. The St.Albans number 7 bat (normally a first team player) then took to the spin bowlers scoring a rapid 86 before Andy Perrin returned to clean out the tail ending up with excellent figures of 4 for 20.

In reply, although Marc Fletcher was out early, Paul Shawyer (32) and Mike Lyon (61) put on 83 to set the platform for the win. Darren Ross (13) and Jon Palmer (13) provided some support but a middle order collapse brought St.Albans back into the match. It was left to Steve Thorne and Andy Chipchase to keep their nerve and guide Chingford to a win in the penultimate over.
