Match report Hadleigh won the toss and elected to bat. After getting off to an extremely fast start (c.80 for 0 off the first 12 overs) the home side were pegged back by tight bowling from Andrew Chipchase (4 wickets) and Richard MacGregor. With Stephen Thorne (4 wickets) making inroads into the Hadleigh tail, Chingford eventually restricted the home side to 225 for 9 off 52 overs.

The rain that commenced shortly before the tea interval did not stop until after 5 pm leaving Chingford only 40 overs to get the runs in overcast conditions. After a couple of early wickets Darren Ross and Richard Alston set about the Hadleigh bowling ensuring that only about 6 runs an over were required in the last 20 overs. After this pair lost their wickets it was left to Mike Lyon and Rob Runciman to steer Chingford to victory with 9 balls to spare.
