Beaconsfield v Chingford Cricket Club Sun A on Sun 28 Aug 2005 at 1330
Chingford Cricket Club Won 8 Wickets

Match report Beaconsfield won the toss and decided to bat first in a 45 over per side match. After a slightly wayward start from the opening bowlers the skipper introduced Richard MacGregor into the attack which reaped immediate dividends (3 for 21). A good fourth wicket stand took the home side into a good position but a steady fall of wickets once this had been broken by Ben MacGregor enabled Chingford to keep Beaconsfield to 206 on a decent batting pitch. The chief destroyer of the middle and lower order being Shaun McMurray who ended up with a deserved 4 wickets.

In reply Beaconsfield took an early wicket but a partnership of c.135 between Paul Shawyer and Billy Rhone broke the back of the run chase. Once Rhone had departed for an excellent 68, Matt O'Sullivan (29 not out) partnered Paul Shawyer (64 not out) in taking Chingford to victory.
