Match report Incredibly the A team game went ahead thanks to the covering at Welwyn Garden City, although the game was played in terrible light with a wet ball hampering bowlers throughout

The Ford took first knock and lost an early wicket with Fletcher shouldering arms to a straight one. Debutant Robin Whitfield was batting well and made 39 before being caught behind, while Meade(27), Hales (15), Shawyer (23not), McMurray (12) and Daniel (15not) all made useful contributions.

In reply WGC reached 54 without loss before Blake broke through. Chingford turned the screw as both McGregors bowled in tandem with Ben just outdoing his dad with 2-20 as against 2-22. The wicket, was however well suited to Ben's seamers. WGC batsman no4 was a Shakeel lookalike including jumper and hat, only problem was he didn't bat like Shak and smashed a handy 59. The returning Mac Meade claimed 2 wickets including the Shak lookalike and at 142-7 anything could happen, Welwyn saw it through without further loss to make it home by 3 wickets.
