Match report An enjoyable game saw Big Mac claim the final Chigwell wicket with just one ball to spare to give his side victory.

Chingford had come back from the dead as despite some tight early bowling , Chigwell accelerated to 100-2. McGregor kept one end in check with 5-38 from 19 whilst Steve Thorne picked up 3-33. With overs running out the skipper turned to Dross who duly obliged with 2-4 whilst keeper "Peters" Joyce was in fine form behind the stumps with two sharp stumpings, one of which removed the dangerman.

Earlier some excellent Chigwell bowling on a damp track reduced the Ford to 49-4 with |Fletcher again shouldering arms, I have recommended next time he tries using a 3 stone bat as he won't be able to lift that above his head !

Pete Shawyer with a brilliant 79 not out and Nasser Rashid with 39 rescued the situation to set up a useful total of 176-8
